Nintendo Announces 23 Games to Accompany Wii U Launch on November 18th

Nintendo has announced that they will be “unleashing” its largest launch line-up of video games in its history when the Wii U comes to town on November 18th, 2012. 23 games will be available from both Nintendo and its third-party publishing partners including Nintendo’s own Nintendo Land, New Super Mario Bros. U, SiNG PARTY, and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge, Ubisoft’s ZombiU, Activision’s Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two from Disney Interactive, EA Sports’ FIFA Soccer 13, and WB Interactive’s Scribblenauts Unlimited, among others.

“We’re making sure that Wii U owners will have great games to play from the moment they open the box, and that a steady stream of fun new games is always on the way,” said Nintendo of Canada’s Vice-President and General Manager Ron Bertram in a press release. “We have something for everyone, from new franchises to creative new approaches to familiar favourites.”

In addition to a considerable launch line-up of games, the press release notes that “Wii U owners in the United States and Canada will also have access to Nintendo TVii, which lets users access multiple sources of entertainment through a convenient GamePad interface.” Thus far, however, the specifics behind the Canadian version have yet to be revealed.
