The Nintendo Download – 1/10/13

The big highlight in this week’s Nintendo Download is the release of two new free demos on the Wii U eShop. Check out Ubisoft’s Zombiu, a survival horror game where “dead” means dead, and 2K Sports’ newest basketball title, NBA 2K13, which lets you coach your players right from the Wii U’s GamePad screen.

Both are available now at retail and on the Wii U eShop.

Over on the regular Wii’s Virtual Console is another of SNK’s classic library. For 900 Wii Points, World Heroes 2 is a 1993 fighting game which sports a 14 character roster, a Death Match Mode, and the ability to catch and throw back your enemy’s projectile attacks.

The Nintendo 3DS eShop’s latest catch is Reel Fishing 3D Paradise Mini is an outdoor fishing title with over 20 missions and six stages to play in. However, for whatever reason, there is no price listed yet– only “TBD.”

Keeping with the outdoorsman theme is Wild Adventures: Ultimate Deer Hunt 3D, an arcade-style hunting game with over 20 weapons with which to bag over 20 varieties of game and fowl. This one is just $3.99 in the Nintendo 3DS eShop.

Hello Kitty has come to Nintendo 3DS in Hello Kitty Picnic with Sanrio Friends. Help Hello Kitty and her friends pack for a lunch in the park with ten mini-games and 2-player turn-based gameplay.

This game is also available at retail, but Amazon.ca does not have it listed; however, Amazon.com carries a list price of $29.99, which is probably what the Nintendo eShop is charging.

101dinopets3d

With 101 DinoPets 3D, pretty much everything you need to know is in the title: It’s about pet dinosaurs which are in 3D, and there are over 101 to collect and teach tricks, all for $4.99.

Available on the Nintendo 3DS eShop for $1.99 and Nintendo DSiWare for 200 DSi Points, Biorhythm is an application which “primarily simulates an electronic device for the calculation of biorhythms,” measuring three different cycles of mental, physical, and emotional cycles.

Finally, Meat or Die is back with “Ines” on Nintendo Video. “Yans and Gans are back and hungry as ever! When the brainstorming duo builds a master plan to capture their next meal, they receive an unexpected (and unpleasant) result.”
