Wii U ZombiU Deluxe Set Bundle Confirmed

ZombiU Deluxe Set

Well, that didn’t take long. No sooner than I write about the rumor of a ZombiU bundle for the Wii U console than the official announcement is made. There are a few slight differences between the truth and the rumor, however, including the box shown above. Read on for the details.

The February 17th release date holds true, though Nintendo’s press release makes no mention of there being a limited number available– if anything, that’s on a store-by-store basis. Furthermore, Nintendo’s press release makes no mention of any sort of exclusivity, meaning that it is not only available at retailers besides Future Shop and Best Buy, but also in the United States as well as Canada.

The contents remain the same as mentioned yesterday, but with a twist. While it includes the ZombiU game, art book, and Wii U Pro Controller in addition to all of the contents of the Wii U Deluxe Set, Nintendo Land will be available as a download, rather than an included disc. Those who purchase this set will also be enrolled in the Digital Deluxe Promotion, which gives consumers ten cents back in points when they purchase Nintendo eShop content, to be applied towards future purchases.

Finally, there’s the price. The rumor stated the set would be $399.99, but the press release states the price is actually $389.99, a $10 difference and $70 in savings versus buying everything included separately.
