Canada Ranked Number 3 Worldwide in Video Game Industry

industryA new article from The Globe and Mail highlights a report from the Entertainment Software Association of Canada called “Essential Facts 2012.” Providing a look at the current state of numerous aspects of the video game industry in Canada, the report includes such numbers as which systems are more commonly played, which games are the most popular, and who plays as taken from a sampling of 2,969 adults, 527 teens, and 687 kids from April 13th to April 30th, 2012.

Other statistics reveal that Canada is currently #3 in the worldwide industry, based on the number of employees. Interestingly enough, it shows Ontario as the province with the highest number of companies, yet the smallest number of jobs.
