The Nintendo Download – 5/9/13

Kicking things off on the Nintendo Download this week is Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move in the Nintendo 3DS eShop. Four different puzzle modes share one common goal throughout their 180 combined levels: Get the Mini to the star.

Coming on May 14th to the Wii U eShop will be a demo for Resident Evil Revelations, the high-definition home console port of the hit Nintendo 3DS game. In addition to enhanced lighting effects and an “immersive” sound experience, you’ll also find a “terrifying” new enemy, an extra difficulty mode, integration with, and even improvements to Raid Mode.

Also added to the Wii U eShop is the Virtual Console release of Xevious, a classic top-down arcade shooter which now features save states, off-TV gameplay on the Wii U GamePad, and a Miiverse community.

Solomon’s Key for the Wii U Virtual Console also sports the same new features as you guide Dana through a 40-level quest filled with block creating and destroying magical powers, freeing captured fairies by finding magical bells and escaping by acquiring the magical key.

Until May 16th, the indie game Chasing Aurora is 50 percent off in the Wii U eShop. You can even try it out first for free with a demo version.

In the Nintendo 3DS eShop for $2.99 is SpeedX 3D Hyper Edition, a single-player tunnel-racing game with new music tracks, faster gameplay, and improved controls.

Finally, there’s Publisher Dream, a Nintendo DSiWare title which is also available in the Nintendo 3DS eShop. This $1.99 simulation allows you to experience what it’s like to be in control of a video game publishing company.

That’s everything for this week. For more information, screens, and videos on this week’s titles, be sure to click on the corresponding links above.
