EBGames’ The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD Ganondorf Figure is Looking Pretty Slick

240234_LELGThough Nintendo announced previously that EBGames would have an exclusive retail version of The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD which includes a Ganondorf figure, all for $54.99, no images were provided. Despite this, some pictures have managed to find there way online, and now we know what we’re getting for five more dollars when the time comes.

You can see the full package at right (click to enlarge) as it appears on GameStop’s website (this edition is not yet listed on EBGames’ website). Pretty slick, all told, but there’s an even better picture yet.

The source is unknown for this particular image is unknown, but it comes our way through Zelda Informer.

I must say, the addition of the domed casing takes this one right from awesome to downright elegant. Ganondorf was always my favorite of the new designs in Wind Waker, and for the character in general, only to be rivaled by the Twilight Princess version a few years later. Admittedly, it’s the beard– Ganondorf rocks the beard, and it keeps him from looking more like a muscular Mr. Burns as the Ocarina of Time version brings to mind (I’m sorry, that’s what I see when I look at him. Might be worth it if he tented his fingers and said “excellent,” though).

And this figure? It brings him to life rather exquisitely, two swords and all. In fact, it not only reminds me of how I was disappointed we didn’t get Toon Ganondorf to match his Courageous counterpart in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, but rekindles my hope that he might appear in the series’ next installment. After all, everyone tends to complain about his Captain Falcon-esque moveset, and dual-wielding swords would fix that right up!

As a reminder, the retail version of The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD will be available on October 4th for $49.99, with this version available at the same time for $54.99.
