Reminder: Zelda Symphony Returns to Toronto on September 7th, with New Canadian Dates Added

zeldaSotgLogoHave you attended a showing of The Legend of Zelda: “Symphony of the Goddesses” yet? We brought you this year’s run of events back in February, and things are starting to wind down as the show returns to Toronto on Saturday, September 7th at the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts in Toronto with all-new “Second Quest” material composed for and added to the show.

“To commemorate the highly-anticipated launch of new Zelda adventures in 2013,” states a press release from Nintendo, “‘Second Quest’ patrons will be treated to special previews of upcoming titles: The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD for the Wii U console, as well as The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, the much-anticipated Nintendo 3DS sequel to the Super Nintendo classic The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Fans will also have the opportunity to have their photo taken in-person with Link! Early ticket reservations are advised, as these exciting fan experiences are exclusive to ‘Symphony of the Goddesses’ in Toronto and space is limited.”

Based on one of the most popular and beloved video game series of all time, the tour—which has been hailed as a modern classic—features live orchestral performances of theme music from Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda franchise. The name “Symphony of the Goddesses” refers not only to the concert program but also to the four-movement symphony recounting the classic storylines from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.

“The response to last year’s concert was unbelievable, so we are truly excited to bring this magical concert experience back to Toronto, filled with incredible new material,” says executive producer Jason Michael Paul. “As new titles are announced, we continue to celebrate this award-winning, 27-year-old franchise through its stunning music and visuals.”

In addition to the tour dates listed on the official website, there is a reminder that the concert is “continuously being updated with new tour dates,” meaning that if you don’t see a listing which fits your needs, you should keep checking back. For instance, three new Canadian dates have already been announced which are not yet even listed on the website. They are:

Fans are also reminded that the concert “is a festive event for all walks of fans who are encouraged to don their Hero’s tunics and Master Swords for the experience of a lifetime.” Translation: Cosplay is not only allowed, but encouraged.

ProTip: If you plan on getting your picture taken with Link, you might want to consider dressing as something complementary. For example, Ganon(dorf), Zelda, Tetra, or even just a Link that isn’t green (i.e. Dark Link, or a Four Swords variant).
