Check Out the Titanfall Pre-Launch Party in Toronto

With ‘pop-up’ space for the rest of the month.

Titanfall from Electronic Arts is looking to be one of the biggest Xbox One-exclusive titles of the year. After all, how many other third-party games can you imagine that would single-handedly motivate Microsoft to update their controllers and system in anticipation of its launch? (This and an update to Xbox One’s multiplayer framework are both available now, by the way.)

Those eager to get their hands on the multiplayer mech-driving first person shooter don’t have much longer to wait, as the game arrives in stores on Tuesday, March 11th, and will even be included in a special $499.99 Titanfall Xbox One console bundle (available at select retailers, including MicrosoftStore.ca. But for those who can’t even wait that long, there’s a chance to play it early– if you’re in Toronto, at least.

On Monday, March 10th, Microsoft is bringing the “revolutionary” FPS to an exclusive gaming lounge set up at the Tattoo Rock Parlour, located at 567 Queen Street West in Toronto. Doors open at 8pm and the party lasts until midnight.

While there, participants will have the opportunity to test-drive three different game modes, as well as go head-to-head with celebrity gamers and Xbox MVP players. There will also be other launch-night exclusives, including Titanfall swag and even a message from Game Designer Steve Fukuda of Respawn Entertainment, the developer of Titanfall.

After the event, fans will be able to continue to experience the game at the Titanfall “pop-up” space at the same location. You’ll want to note that you won’t be able to actually purchase Titanfall at the pop-up space, but you can still give it a spin through Sunday, March 30th during the following operating hours:

  • Monday – Thursday, 12 noon – 8 p.m.
  • Friday, 12 noon – 10 p.m.
  • Saturday, 11 a.m. – 10 p.m.
  • Sunday, 12 noon – 6 p.m.

As of this writing, it’s less than three days until the Titanfall; will you be there to catch it?
