The Nintendo Download – 9/18/2014

Wild Guns, Super Smash Bros. demo, and other stuff.

Some great stuff in this week’s Nintendo Download, so let’s get right down to it.

super-smash-bros-3ds

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS – Free Demo for Nintendo 3DS – If you managed to earn a Platinum rank in Club Nintendo last year and have e-mail notifications turned on, then you should have received four codes for a demo similar to this one last week (if you qualify, be sure to check your spam folder or Gmail “Promotions” tab before tomorrow, when the codes expire). The demo allows you to play single player or local multiplayer on the Battlefield stage with Mario, Pikachu, Link, Mega Man, and Villager.

If you didn’t receive a code, then a demo for everyone else will be available in the Nintendo 3DS eShop tomorrow. It’s largely the same demo, except this version can only be started from the Nintendo 3DS’s Home menu a total of 30 times before it expires.

N3DS_FIFA15_gameplay_01

FIFA 15 for Nintendo 3DS – “Over 30 officially licensed leagues, 50 real-world tournaments, 500 authentic clubs and 12,500 players but no updates to gameplay or game modes.” Yes, it actually says that. Points for honesty, at least. You’ll compete in 11-versus-11 matches or 5-on-5 street matches, using either celebrity players or creating your own.

N3DS_HorseVet3D_gameplay_01

Horse Vet 3D for Nintendo 3DS – Another vet game, but this one seems focused exclusively on horses.

N3DS_SEOFAW_gameplay_01

WiiU_ArrowTimeU_gameplay_05

Arrow Time U for Wii U – “Arrow Time U has you take control of none other than a neon blue arrow. With limited time, health, and special powers, it’s your job to point your arrow in the right direction… and take it there as well! Your unique movement mechanisms and abilities to slow down time and move through any object will certainly help, but you’ll need both quick thinking and quick reactions to overcome all the obstacles and foes in your way in this top-down 2D game.”

WUP-N_BWLE_gameplay_2

Spikey Walls for Wii U – It’s Flappy Bird, except without the bird and with spikey walls.
