Gamercamp Pop-Up Arcade in Toronto This Weekend

Pay, play, and even eat!

If there wasn’t enough going on this weekend for your liking, here’s one more thing we just found out about.

On Saturday, October 18th and Sunday, October 19th, Hotel Ocho in Toronto will be playing host to the Gamercamp Pop-Up Arcade. “With an original exhibition and three arcades, and a showcase, Gamercamp takes around three hours to complete. All games are free to play, no quarters required!”

This includes games for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Official Selections Arcade, and you’ll also be privy to a special “French Developers Highlight.” Hotel Ocho’s fully-licensed restaurant is also on hand, with food and refreshments included in the Deluxe Admission, which is $7.50 more than the regular version.

Each day, the first session is from 11:00am to 2:30pm and the second session goes from 4:00pm to 7:30pm. On Saturday night, there is also a special Night Arcade starting at 8:00pm. Buying passes online will allow you to reserve a spot so you don’t have to wait in line, as well as allow you to get in an hour earlier– “Arrive at either 10:00 am or 3:00 pm to beat the crowd!” You can also then pay with a credit card, versus the cash-only at-the-door policy.

You can look at the various admission prices and order passes here or get the Night Arcade passes here.

Hotel Ocho is located in Toronto at 195 Spadina Ave (Spadina & Phoebe), and you can find more information on Gamercamp here and on Twitter, with Hotel Ocho’s website here and their Twitter account here.
