Xbox One to Receive a Price Drop, But Only in the U.S.

The price of being Canadian is steep… about $50 or so.

As some of you may have recently heard, the Xbox One is going to be experiencing a price drop– at least, for a limited time. Microsoft has announced that as of November 2nd, special bundles including Assassin’s Creed Unity, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, and Sunset Overdrive will be reduced by $50.

Hopeful Canadians might have noticed that the Xbox Wire article linked above specifies that this is in the United States, with a caveat at the end noting that “Regional availability and timing outside the U.S. will vary.” Unfortunately, this seems to refer to the availability of the Xbox One Assassin’s Creed Bundle, rather than the offer itself.

As for Canada? I asked Microsoft about the possibility of some comparable deal of our own to take advantage of, but were sadly informed that this offer is only available in the U.S. Despite the name of this site, I can honestly say I’m still quite disappointed just the same.

Of course, if buying from the U.S. is an option for you, then you’re in luck, and will probably want to click here to see the full breadth of what’s available to you.
