The Nintendo Download – 3/26/2015

Free Batman, free DLC, and more.

So this one is a bit late, as Nintendo decided to revamp their press site. Fortunately, they picked a pretty good, slow week to do so– perhaps even by design.

And yes, I could have just gotten the bare bones info from somewhere else, but if I can’t make this post to the standard I’ve set for myself (screens, page links, etc.), I’m not sure I’d even want to bother.

Dot Arcade for Wii U – Seeking to answer the question of what sort of fun can be discovered when a game is distilled down to its simplest form, this title presents three dot-styled games with varying focuses. Check out the trailer here.

Namco Museum for Wii U – Bringing together Ms. Pac-Man, Galaxian, Galaga, Pole Position, and Dig Dug, you can even the odds this time by adjusting such settings as lives, difficulty level, and the goal for advancing.

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham Demo Version for Wii U – We aren’t all as rich as Bruce Wayne, so if you’re not sure if you’ve got what it takes to step into the cape of the Brick Knight, you can try this demo to find out for yourself before spending the money.

LEGO Ninjago: Shadow of Ronin for Nintendo 3DS – The evil Ronin and his army of dark samurai have stolen the memories of the Ninjas! Help them reclaim their powers and declare victory over their foe! Check out a trailer here.

Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley Downloadable Content for Nintendo 3DS – Via GoNintendo: “The second Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley downloadable content launched March 19th, and included new buildings you can place around your valley using Doc’s amazing invention, ARCHITECT! This DLC is free, so even if you didn’t grab it immediately, you can still pick it up absolutely free of charge. The new decorations are themed after the famous Harvest Goddess and Harvest Sprites, so be sure to snag them from Doc when you’re ready to decorate your uniqu

“All Aboard the A-Train!

“A mix of transport simulator and city builder, we’re very excited to be bringing A-Train: City Simulator to a new audience! We’re also pleased to announce that all the DLC from the Japanese version will be available to our English-speaking fans! We’ll be revealing screenshots and further details leading up to the game’s launch!”

Jet Dog for Nintendo 3DS – Send one of three dogs soaring for the best distance record, and equip them with different items to improve their performance.

My Pet School 3D for Nintendo 3DS – Care for and train such animals as dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, and parakeets.

Titanic Mystery for Nintendo 3DS/Nintendo DSiWare – Someone thought it would be a good idea to make a new ship named “Titanic” 100 years after the last one sank– and making the same voyage, no less! Constructed “with the same level of luxury and extravagance, but with modern day safety designs and up to date lifeboats,” someone is nonetheless not leaving this one to the icebergs and is planning to blow it up. Your job is to find the culprit by solving various puzzles and riddles through mini-games across the boat’s 30 locations.

If I may be honest, I find this idea a lot more intriguing now than when I began this write-up.
