Eat Splatoon, Play Splatoon at Yogurty’s and Yogen Früz

Frozen treats and cool prizes.

Splatoon will finally be released for the Wii U on Friday, May 29, and all through the summer, Nintendo of Canada is teaming up with Yogurty’s and Yogen Früz to celebrate!

The two frozen yogurt chains will be offering three unique flavors inspired by the game between June 1 and September 8, 2015. You can choose between the Squidsicle sorbet and the Inkberry froyo, or for the third option, swirl the two together in order to create “Squid Ink.” What’s more, Yogen Früz locations will offer to splat your selection with “juice-bursting popping bubbles,” which come in mango and strawberry flavours.

Prior to this, however, there is going to be a special event held on Saturday, May 30 at the Toronto Yogurty’s located at 527 Bloor St W. From 2pm to 6pm, the first 100 people there to play Splatoon will get a free cup of frozen yogurt and toppings.

Then, beginning June 15, fans can visit the following participating Yogurty’s locations for a chance to play Splatoon:

Yogurty’s Montreal – 3454 Avenue Du Parc

Yogurty’s Melville – 210 South Service Road

Yogurty’s Calgary – 26 McKenzie Towne Gate SE, Unit 630

Nintendo of Canada is also encouraging Splatoon and froyo fans to share photos of their Splatoon froyo creations on Instagram and Twitter for a chance to win Splatoon prizes. For Yogurty’s customers, use the hashtags #SplatYourFroyo and #Splatoon; Yogen Früz patrons should instead use the combination of #InkYourFruz and #Splatoon.

If you’re interested in more information about Nintendo’s partnerships for this event, details for Yogurty’s can be found here, while Yogen Früz can be found here. More info about Splatoon can be found on the official webpage.
