Black Tusk Studios Becomes The Coalition

A new name for a new era.

Rod Fergusson, the former head of Vancouver-based Black Tusk Studios, has made a recent announcement about why he is now the “former” head of Black Tusk Studios:

Rather than departing the group, they are in actuality taking on a new name: The Coalition. Admittedly, that sounds more like a name for a pro wrestling faction (and, in fact, Ontario-born superstar Christian Cage has even led a group known as “Christian’s Coalition in TNA, so there you go), but that is the name that will henceforth be associated with the Gears of War franchise from which it was taken (as “The Coalition of Ordered Governments”).

“What’s in a name?” Fergusson asks. “In short, The Coalition speaks to who we are as a team, and what it is we’re working on.”

On that note, Fergusson notes that the 2015 Electronic Entertainment Expo is fast approaching, and that if you want to see what they’ve been working on, you’ll want to tune in to Xbox Daily: LIVE @ E3 on Monday, June 15 at 4pm PT. Maybe they’ll even come with folding chairs in hand.
