Microsoft Unveils Two New Xbox One S Bundles for Late August

Hope you like helmets.

The new Xbox One S console is available now, but those looking to leap upon this new iteration of Microsoft’s current platform generation may want to hold off for just a few weeks more before taking the plunge. In addition to the three versions available at the start of the month, the company has revealed that two special bundles will be available soon thereafter.

For fans of the Master Chief and his many adventures, there are two bundles of the Xbox One S which each come with Halo 5: Guardians and Halo: The Master Chief Collection, effectively giving you all five of the main series Halo games at once. You can get this in a 500GB version for $399.00 CAD or a 1TB version for $449.00 CAD.

Alternatively, if you prefer your large helmeted and armored men to partake in sports rather than combat, there is also a Madden NFL 17 bundle which comes with a 1TB Xbox One S for $449.00 CAD. In addition to the game (as a full download) and console, you’ll also receive seven Madden Ultimate Team Pro Packs, one month of EA Access, and for a limited time, a promotional code that will net you 20 percent off your next purchase at NFLShop.com.

Note that if you’re looking at this from the States, the bundle comes with a physical copy of the game when you purchase it at GameStop. All other locations, including the northern equivalent of EBGames, provide a code for you to download the game instead.

All three bundles will be available on August 23rd, but you can pre-order now.

I don’t have an Xbox One S (yet?), but if you’re on the fence about whether or not you should get one, Shane Luis of Rerez just reviewed it:

In addition, Pat Contri and Ian Ferguson of the #CUPodcast weigh in with their opinions on the new hardware and who it is best suited for:
