November 11th Declared ‘Nintendo Day 2016’
NES Classic Edition, a Pokémon 3DS, and amiibo deals aplenty.
First and foremost in everyone’s mind is the launch of the Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition, which retails for $79.99 and comes with one controller (additional controllers are sold separately for $12.99 each) and comes with 30 games, which you can read about in further detail here.
Joining it will be the launch of the limited edition New Nintendo 3DS XL Solgaleo Laluna Black Edition, customized with artwork of both new legendary Pokémon from the upcoming Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon. The system, found exclusively at Best Buy and EB Games, will retail for $239.99 when it is released a week ahead of the games it’s designed to promote.
If you’re looking for another model, then you may be interested in Toys R Us’s sale on New Nintendo 3DS XL systems. Kicking off on Nintendo Day 2016 and lasting until November 17th, you’ll be able to save $20 on any version of that system type.
Elsewhere, there are amiibo sales aplenty kicking off on Nintendo Day 2016. Until November 17th, EB Games will have a sale where you can buy any two amiibo and get one Animal Crossing amiibo free. During that same time period, Amazon.ca will be discounting amiibo purchased through them by $6, while Toys R Us will have a “buy two, get one free” sale of their own.
Finally, if you can’t wait until Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon are released and want to hone your trainer skills in the meantime, Best Buy and BestBuy.ca will have $5 off of what are only specified as “great Pokémon games.”
Is that enough to make you feel like celebrating? I know I’ll be if I can nab an NES Classic Edition before my appointment with the gastroenterologist tomorrow!
